We made our annual trip to the Grove Park Inn to see the winners of their yearly gingerbread building contest. This is one of the winners. Absolutely everything used in the construction must be edible. unbelievable. This has become one of our favorite holiday events and is worth a visit if you are in the area in December.

I participated in the Big Crafty –Asheville's premier indy craft fair. Fun and excitement abounded! GIfts were purchased! Friends were hugged! Money was made!
This was the second BC and it was even better than the first which was pretty dang good if you ask me.

Isn’t it fun to look back at what you were making at different times in your life? This is a fabric collage/mixed media assemblage piece I made way back when…in 2004.
The quote is from the Song of Solomon and says:
“Who is she that looketh forth as the morning
fair as the moon,
clear as the sun
And terrible as an army with banners?”
